Have your say at the Staveley Against Sewage drop-in event with United Utilities

United Utilities CEO, Louise Beardmore, is due to visit Staveley on 31st January 2024 for a drop-in event, alongside the Environment Agency, Westmorland & Furness Council, and other partners.

CRKC will have a stall at the event to provide information about our campaign and our citizen science projects, with our Rights of the River Kent video, an interactive map showing data along the river, river Kent photographs and art, and more.

Prior to the public drop-in, CRKC and Staveley with Ings Parish Council will both have the opportunity to speak directly with Louise Beardmore, and discuss issues and concerns surrounding the river Kent.

If you feel strongly about the condition of our local river and the sewage on our streets, please join the Facebook event and come to this community drop-in to make your voice heard.

CRKC has produced a briefing document with background information about the current position and proposed solutions to the issue – read it here.

Please also consider completing this survey to collect valuable information about the impact of sewage on our streets.
