The I Get Around study is a Westmorland & Furness Council funded sustainability initiative, as part of our Staveley with Ings Community Plan development.

It is asking: “Are there things that you would like to do, or places you would like to go around Staveley, Ings & Kentmere, but there are reasons that you can’t?”

This study aims to discover what barriers face members of our community when getting around and identify how these barriers can be removed to enable access to social and other opportunities for all.

Whilst it might not be possible to change the weather or shorten distances, until the problems are known, they can’t be tackled.

This study will consider everyone’s needs in our community, from young children to older generations.

Your answers will be invaluable to develop community-based solutions to overcome barriers to get around, and provide evidence for further funding applications, if appropriate. Whilst providing solutions won’t be a quick fix, they will be important to make village life more easily accessible to all.

If you would also like to answer on behalf of someone else (eg a younger or older family member) please get in touch – senstaveley@gmail.com

There are 13 questions which should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete. And all completed entries (by midnight 1st December 2024) will be entered into a PRIZE DRAW (optional) to win a £50 voucher to spend in local businesses.
