About SENS

The Sustainability & Energy Network in Staveley (SENS) was formed in November 2007 to discuss sustainability action in the village, by looking at ways to reduce the energy use, explore the potential for hydro-electric schemes, promote cycling and walking, renewable technologies and to raise awareness of and take action on climate change.

▪ New members welcome – contact Fran (821459)  or any of the committee members if you have a project you’d like to propose or want to take part in current projects, or simply be on our mailing list for meetings.

Objectives of the Group (in our constitution) are:

â–ª To reduce the human impact on both the local and global ecology

â–ª To increase the use of alternative fuel and power sources within the Kent valley and surrounding area

â–ª To increase local and global awareness of ecological, Fair Trade and sustainability issues in the Kent valley and surrounding area, via a newsletter and a website
